Sanganyi Tea Factory is situated in Nyaramba Shopping Centre, Ekerenyo Sub-county of Nyamira County along the Kericho – Kisii Highway. Sanganyi Tea Factory was commissioned in 1981 with a processing capacity of 10M kilograms of green leaf per year. The factory lies approximately 317 kilometers from Nairobi town. Sanganyi Tea Factory plays a pivotal role in the livelihoods of numerous smallholder tea farmers in the Sanganyi Catchment.

WHEN
Sanganyi Tea Factory was commissioned in 1981, with a processing capacity of 10 million kilograms of green leaf annully. The factory has been expanded over time to cope with increasing crop levels following increase in acreage under tea coupled with better crop husbandry.

Special Projects
Sanganyi Tea Factory has undertaken a tree-planting project, partnering with public institutions in planting indigenous trees, as well as being involved in health projects in the community. The factory is also jointly, with other factories in the zone, constructing the Nyakwana Power Company.
Corporate Social Responsibility
In partnership with the KTDA Foundation, Sanganyi awards full secondary education scholarships to bright but needy students from among its growers in the catchment.
